After we got to my grandmas house yesterday Katy started to run a temp of over 104. So we had to call the emergency number and the doctor told us to go to boumont hospital and get her stable. They ran some test and she has some type of infection. We rode in an ambulance back to u of m hospital and she was admitted. She will probably have to stay a few days to make sure she gets better. She will take a break from chemo for a few days, but she still has to go to radiation. We are hoping she gets better real soon.

Dear Sweet Jesus please heal this child. Please help her fight this infection, so that she can finish her treatments.

We are back in Ann Arbor. It is a long day already. Katy is burnt from the radiation and she is in pain. So she hasn't been in the best of moods today. We are waiting for the radiation right now. We have to wait an hour and then we have to go back over for her shot at the cancer center. Hopefully tomorrow will not be as long. Love Katy and Family.

Katy is still in a lot of pain from her burns. They are going to give her some morphine to relax her. Later on we plan to go to my grandmas and grandpas house in Royal Oak for dinner. Hopefully she'll feel up to it. Love Katy and Family.

On Monday we all went back to the doctors for Katy's check up to see what the doctor had planed for her. They told us that we will go for the next 6 weeks 5 days a week, a month off, then 6 months 3 days a week in patient.
On Tuesday Katy just played at home and then went to her mothers.
On Wednesday I picked her up and took her to get her hair done before we went to the McDonalds benefit’s. She enjoyed the pancakes and the sausage (she had 5 sausage patties).
Thank you to Connie J. for putting the benefit together and all the people who where there to keep supporting Katy and our family.
Katy's friend spent the night and we saw her run for the first time in a long time. Katy is staying strong and doing great.

Katy is doing well and is at home. They are still working on figuring out exactly what type of tumor she has. She will begin chemo and radiation when she is healed enough and they figure out her treatment plan.
The good news is that she has good spirits again and is playing happily. Her mom reports that she went outside to play yesterday. Yea!!

Hi,
I am sending this as an update to an email I sent to some of you yesterday and for others, it is a new request. So, I will have to repeat a little bit of information.
Katie is a 9 year old (we thought she was eight little sweetheart).
Katie went through many hours of surgery yesterday and the outcome was not good.
She has a stage 4 glioblastoma (brain tumor). It has many fingers and could not be completely removed. She will undergo chemotherapy but they are not giving her very good odds. For those of you familiar with cancer, stage 4 is the most advanced and serious stage. They said if they had not operated, she would have died before the weekend.
Needless to say, the family is a wreck. Please keep Katie much in prayer. The doctors aren't giving her great chances and scientifically, medically, I know it does not look good at all. However, we serve a mighty and awesome God who can do anything.
Also pray for the family. They are going to need it. (Jasmine's mom and Katie's dad are scheduled to get married the first Saturday in August. Jessica and Nathan are to be married August 16th. This could affect either or both of those. Bless their hearts. ) If you know of a prayer group, please ask if they will add her name. We want her on as many as we can manage.
(I added some photos. I always find it nice when I pray to have an image of whom it is that I am praying for)

Updated status on Katy

We got home Friday night and it sure felt good to be home. Katy has been a little under the weather, but is still staying strong. The spaghetti dinner last night was wonderful. We had 754 people come to support our Katy. It is truly wonderful to have all the love and support from everyone. Thank you so much.
Today Katy teacher Mrs. Thomas is coming over for the first time to start her tutoring. I know she will be so excited to start schoolwork again =). Lol.
