Thank you for including Leisa in this beautiful devotion!

Leisa - St. Elizabeth of Portugal, Fear of the Lord & Joy

Jack, below is what she sends with each explains how she picks the saint and the fruit & gifts of the Holy Spirit

Laudetur Jesus Christus!
(Latin for Praised be Jesus Christ)
May God bless you and hold you
ever close always!
I truly believe that God has a Master Plan for all of us
and that He brings us together to fulfill that plan ...
thus saying, I do not believe that it was a coincidence that you have
requested a saint to walk with you this year!
I believe that you are here for a reason and now your job is
to find out what that reason is! With the help of your saint,
I know you will be able to accomplish this!
I really wish there was an instruction booklet
to send to you on how you should handle this devotion ...
unfortunately there is not.
This is a personal relationship between you and your
saint and you, alone, will determine how much or how little
time, prayer, effort and friendship you want to put into it.
If you visit my blog, you will be able to find some suggestions
from me and others on how we approached this devotion and how we have
developed our relationship(s).
One thing that I can tell you for sure is that your saint
will be there to help you become closer to God
and will do everything that they can to help you
reach your own sainthood!
We all have to agree that this is our ultimate goal ...
life eternal with our Heavenly Creator!
Who better to help us achieve that goal than someone
who is already experiencing it!
Some have been disappointed because all their prayers have
not been answered or they have not had instant connections
with their saint or their saint is someone that they
never heard of.
Please keep in mind that this devotion is not
like having a winning lottery ticket or a
personal genie in a bottle where your
personal wants and desires will magically appear.
This is a walk with a heavenly intercessor who will
show us how to improve our spiritual journey and for some, yes, they will
have prayers answered or have instant connections
and stories that they hopefully will share with the rest of us.
I always suggest that you research and research and then do more research
on your saints to help find that connection or to find out why this particular
saint "picked" you!
There is so much to learn from your saint and once you start to know your saint intimately, you can apply all of that knowledge to your life.
**Also keep in mind that you can request a saint
for an individual and you can keep that devotion going
for that person.
For example, if you have someone who you feel needs prayers or spiritual
guidance, you can request a saint for them and you can be praying to that saint for favors
or intercessions without that person ever knowing about it!
Just realize that this heavenly intercessor will be there for you,
to help you
, to guide you and
to make you a better person
One thing that I have been tossing around and decided to implement this year is that not only will you receive a special saint, but I will also include a fruit and gift of the Holy Spirit for you.
As with your personal walk with your saint, what you decide to do
with the fruit and gift devotion will be strictly up to you.
I believe that our world is critically ill and in desperate need of
God and all that He has to offer.
We received the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit when we were
confirmed and if you are like me, have not thought much about them
through the years. Sad, isn’t it?
We can now take the opportunity for a re-awakening in ourselves of these
wonderful gifts or pray for a renewal for the world.
Or do nothing with it, should you be so inclined. As with
the patron saint devotion, there are no set rules and
no one will be checking up on you.
Take this only as a suggestion from me to you.

Your saint and your fruit and gift are

Please stay in touch and let me know how your walk is going.
Should you have any personal experiences or connections or prayers
answered, please consider letting me know so I can post them on my blog
so others can read about your experience.
You have no idea how much these experiences have helped others in their beliefs!
Know that you will be in my prayers.
I ask that you keep me, and my good friend, Annie,
who helps with posting the names
on the blog, in your prayers too!
Check back often to the link to the 2014 blog
and for all updates and stories.
Thank you so much for contacting me.
Have a great walk with your saint.
May God bless you abundantly!

St. Francis of Assisi
In Jesus I pray,

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, and sought your intercession, was left unaided.  Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother, to you do I come; before you I stand sinful and sorrowful.  O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen!
Sweet Jesus, I offer you all the flowers you put in my path, open my eyes so I may see You in each one of them, open my heart that I may Love them as You will for me...Amen
