Our own hearts must be converted to the love that God has so beautifully expressed in His Son, our Lord, Jesus.
If one looks steadily at their own heart, he or she can surely see the struggle within to become more as He is.
Pray fervently and ask God to help you be more loving towards those who are in your world.
It's through listening to and obeying the words of our Lord that we are transformed into His image here on earth.

harassment, ridicule, and doubt, you held firm in your faith. Even in your abandonment, alone and without friends, you held firm in your faith. Even as you faced your own mortality, you held firm in your faith. I pray that I may be as bold in my beliefs as you, St. Joan. I ask that you ride alongside me in my own battles. Help me be mindful that what is worthwhile can be won when I persist. Help me hold firm in my faith. Help me believe in my ability to act well and wisely. Amen.

St. Elizabeth of Hungary and St. Thomas the Apostle

Patron Saints for Homeless People and Home Builders and Construction workers. We ask their intercession on all the homes that are having to be built because of the fires. I include my daughter's family too...they are building their home too.

St Elizabeth is the patron saint for homeless people, and so much to do with people who are lost, poor, and all those who assist these people, also nurses and so much more...

St. Thomas is the patron saint for home builders and constuction workers and the most important things agains doubt.

Prayer to Saint Thomas the Apostle
O Glorious Saint Thomas, your grief for Jesus was such that it would not let you believe he had risen unless you actually saw him and touched his wounds. But your love for Jesus was equally great and it led you to give up your life for him. Pray for us that we may grieve for our sins which were the cause of Christ's sufferings. Help us to spend ourselves in his service and so earn the title of "blessed" which Jesus applied to those who would believe in him without seeing him. Amen.

Dear Saint Thomas, you were once slow in believing that Christ had gloriously risen; but later, because you had seen him, you exclaimed: "My Lord and my God!" Please help them get the water they need to take care of their crops and for health and safety of the people for drinking water. Dear Isidore, you know how normal it is to cultivate the land for you were employed as a farm laborer most of your life. Although you received God's help materially through Angels in the field, all farmers are aided spiritually to see the wonders God has strewn on this earth. Encourage all farmers in their labours and help them to feed many people. Amen.

Legend says that when he was a child, Medard was once sheltered from the rain by a hovering eagle. This is his most common depiction in art, and led to his patronage of good weather, against bad weather, for people who work the fields, etc.

Legend has it that if it rains on his feast day, the next 40 days will be wet;
if the weather is good, the next 40 will be fine as well.
He was also depicted as laughing aloud with his mouth wide open;
this led to his patronage against toothache.
